Film Trailer

Vashti is a new 3D animated cartoon created, written, and produced by award-winning film director Lavern Spruill. The adorable, quick-witted Vashti is a rescue cat adopted by sisters Winter and Lana. Vashti befriends a puppy in the shelter she was adopted from named Zach; when Vashti and Kid reporter Sincere learns that The neighborhood bully has adopted Zach, both Sincere and Vashti are on a mission to rescue Zach from his new human.

This fantastic film aims to bring awareness to all animals that need a home. The animated movie is also based on the life of film producer, writer, and director Lavern Spruill, as seen through Vashti's eyes.

Animal shelters and rescue groups are brimming with happy, healthy pets just waiting for someone to take them home. But, each year, more than one million adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the United States, simply because too many pets come into shelters, and too few people consider adoption when looking for a pet. We can reduce this number dramatically if more people adopt pets instead of buying them. When you adopt, you save a loving animal by making them part of your family.

Lavern's animation "Vashti" has been in the works for two years. Now that she's assembled an amazing creative team, Lavern is excited to continue making the project a huge success. Lavern Spruill, along with LV Media Production, loves writing compelling stories, and with the film Vashti, she aims to take her storytelling to a new level of creativity.
